- several weeks of hardly running
- two weeks of not running at all
- one killer massage by a wonderful LMT
- a few go-rounds on the bike
- and many, many treats later...
I think the niggles will soon be completely behind me.
What exactly was wrong with my leg, I may never know for sure. A tendon issue in my left foot (heel and outside arch) from October never went away when I rested it in November. Then a knee issue cropped up in the same leg after a very long, but easy, run. Maybe it was just careless training or a domino effect injury. Regardless, I figured it was either run and get better, or don't run and get better.
Running was not getting it better, so I gave in and stopped running for a while.
I did my own formula of PT, ice and heat, and am ready to start over.
Today I ran.
It wasn't far or fast;
It was perfect.
